Project Financing - West River Valley Senior Housing was made possible by many generous public and private donations. Major funders of the $9.9-million project include $4,339,055 of private equity from the sale of Housing Credits, $951,900 from the HUD 202 program, $825,000 in financing from the Vermont Housing and Conservation Board, $639,000 through the Vermont Community Development program, $532,000 in HUD EDI funds, $515,000 in financing from the Vermont Housing Finance Agency, $513,000 in State Tax Credit Equity, $400,000 in Holt Funds, and $315,000 from the HUD HOME program.
Operational Financing - While rents and care fees cover the cost of the housing operations, Valley Cares as an organization still must raise funds from the community to support administration and new program development.
