We Provide Housing, Care and Services
Valley Cares, Inc. is a community-based 501(c)(3) which provides affordable housing and supportive services to the elderly residents of the West River Valley and surrounding towns. In 2007 we developed West River Valley Senior Housing, 24 units of independent living and 28 units of assisted living located on Grafton Road in Townshend, Vermont.
In our Assisted Living Facility we provide:
- Medication management Overseen by RN
- 24-hour residential care
- Assistance with Activities of Daily Living
- 3 Nutritious and delicious meals daily

- Transportation to medical appointments
- Visiting entertainment, activities & social outings

In our Independent Living Facility we provide:
- Property maintenance
- Meals (fee-for-service)
- Housekeeping (fee-for-service)
We also provide the following community services:
- Homemaker Services to those who need cleaning, cooking, and companionship in order to live safely at home.
- Meals on Wheels to residents in Brookline, Newfane, Townshend, and Grafton. Sign up here!
- Free Lending Library of Durable Medical Equipment to those recovering from an operation or illness.
We provide consulting services to organizations and municipalities beyond the West River Valley
who are interested in developing senior housing in their own communities.
