Be a Volunteer
Volunteers play a crucial role in helping Valley Cares bring services to our residents and the community at large. We truly appreciate volunteers' involvement, as they positively enrich the lives of seniors throughout the region. Whatever your interests, we have a volunteer opportunity for you.
Volunteer with the Activities Program:
- Lead Bingo and other games
- Lead arts or craft classes
- Provide live musical entertainment
- Lead exercise classes
- Assist residents working in our perennial and vegetable gardens
- Provide rides to local towns for shopping and events
- Contact us with any other ideas or interests
Drive a Meals-On-Wheels route:
- We provide Meals-On-Wheels to residents in Townshend, Newfane and Brookline
- Meals are delivered Monday, Wednesday and Friday – each route takes about 30-45 minutes to drive
- Volunteers may be reimbursed for mileage
- Become a regular driver (deliver one route, once a week)
- Or become a substitute driver who we can call when needed
